『食べる女』名シーンをイラストレーターが特別描きおろし
小泉今日子、沢尻エリカをはじめとする、いまを代表する豪華女優陣の共演が大きな話題となっている映画『食べる女』から、人気イラストレーターのマキヒロチ、進藤やす子、山科ティナ、3人による特別イラストが解禁された。
小泉さん、沢尻さん、そして前田敦子、広瀬アリス、山田優、壇蜜、シャーロット・ケイト・フォックス、鈴木京香などいま注目すべきキャストを迎え、年齢も、職業も、恋愛に対する考え方も、人生における価値観も異なる8人の女性が、おいしいものを心置きなく、好きなだけ食べる“女の本音満載の宴”を通して、現代に生きる女たちの“いま”を描いている本作。
そんな本作の印象に残ったシーンをイラスト化したのは、実写ドラマ化もした『いつかティファニーで朝食を』（新潮社）、『吉祥寺だけが住みたい街ですか？』（講談社）の原作者でもあり、女性の生き方や食について漫画から、ギャグエッセイなど幅広いジャンルで活動しているマキさん、ファッションイラストレーターとして、多数のファッション本を執筆・出版し、幅広い年代の女性から支持されている進藤さん、KIRIN「午後の紅茶」「H.I.S」など多くの企業コラボマンガを担当し、雑誌・WEBと媒体に限らず広く活動中している山科さんの3人。
■マキヒロチ「かつての自分とリンクして温かい気持ちになる」
マキさんが描きおろしたのは、沢尻エリカ演じる小麦田圭子（称ドド）と、ユースケ・サンタマリア演じるサラリーマンのタナベが2人で食事をしているシーン。
マキさんは「男なんていらない！」と豪語するドドが“食”を通し関係が発展していく重要な場面であるシーンを「若い頃は孤食が好きで、一人で食事をしている自分の姿もなんだか強い女性のようで好きだった。だけど歳をとって、食事を共にする誰かの一言や知識が料理の経験値を深めてくれたりすることや、美味しそうに食べる相手の顔が更に食事を美味しくさせてくれることに気づいた」と語る。
「仕事と一人の時間をこよなく愛すドドが、偶然タナベと出会い食事をするようになって、誰かと食事をすることの尊さや安らぎを知って行く。最初は強張っていたドドの表情が、食事とお酒とタナベの眼差しによって優しい表情にほころんでいくシーンが、かつての自分とリンクして温かい気持ちになる」と自身に重ねての描きおろしとなったと言う。
■進藤やす子「自分に正直な『食べる女』でありたい」
進藤さんが描きおろしたシーンは、小泉さん演じるトン子が、料理ができず旦那に別居されてしまうシャーロット演じるマチに対して「人っておいしいご飯を食べている時と、愛しいセックスをしている時がいちばん争いごとから遠くなるんだって。だから手抜きをするな、女たちよ」と激励するシーン。
進藤さんは「この映画に出てくる“東京の街をふわりふわりと漂う自由で孤独な女たち”は、シュッと美しい工業製品ではなく、どこか歪んだ手作りの物のようだ。でも手作りの物は代え難い味わいがある。そんなちょっといびつな彼女たちが、ふくふくと描かれているのが、なんだか、良い」と語り、「だから見終わった後は暖かい気持ちになる。私も人の物差しで測ったりせず、自分に正直な『食べる女』でありたい」とコメントした。
■山科ティナ「私たちは自分の手で幸せになれる」
そして山科さんが描きおろしたのは、鈴木京香演じる美冬が女将をつとめる、ごはんや“道草”に一同が集まり食事をするシーン。
「『食べる女』で描かれた女たちはみんな年齢も違えば、性格も、仕事も、生い立ちも、抱えている孤独も、幸せだと感じる事柄も、すべて個性的で、みんなバラバラだ。けれど一つだけ、共通する幸せがある。いたってシンプルで力強いメッセージが私たちの背中を押してくれる。私たちは自分の手で幸せになれる。そうして観終わった頃には、物語の前半で感じていた呪縛が気付かぬうちに解き解かれている」とシーンを選んだ理由を語った。
三者三様の3人がそれぞれ共有できたという映画『食べる女』は、全ての女性を応援するメッセージが込められている。
『食べる女』は9月21日（金）より全国にて公開。
