落ちこぼれ教授たち、今度はテロと闘う
イタリアの大ヒットコメディーの第3作で完結編となる『いつだってやめられる 闘う名誉教授たち』が、11月16日より公開される。併せて、ドラッグ生成の罪で刑務所に服役中の神経生物学者らが繰り広げる、いちかばちかの脱獄計画の一端を捉えた予告編が公開となった。 『いつだってやめられる』シリーズは、落ちこぼれインテリ教授たちが合法ドラッグの生成で人生の一発逆転を試みる第1作『～7人の危ない教授たち』（2014・劇場未公開、イタリア映画祭2015で上映）の成功によりシリーズ化。第2作『～10人の怒れる教授たち』（2017）では、あえなく刑務所で服役中の彼らが犯罪歴帳消しと引き換えにドラッグ取り締まりに奮闘するさまを描き、本作は今年5月に日本で劇場公開された。
完結編となる『～闘う名誉教授たち』のストーリーは、服役中の神経生物学者のピエトロ・ズィンニ（エドアルド・レオ）が合法ドラッグの製造者を探る中で、ある男が神経ガスによるテロを引き起こす可能性を突き止めたことに端を発する。そこでピエトロは、方々に収容されているかつての合法ドラッグ製造仲間、落ちこぼれインテリたちを集め、テロによる大量殺人を未然に阻止すべく脱獄を企てる……というもの。
前作の日本公開時に来日したシドニー・シビリア監督いわく、イタリアでは3部作は珍しい試みだという。「このシリーズは1作目の成功を経て2、3作目をまとめて撮影したんだ。3作品を通して時系列が入れ替わっていたり、入れ子構造のように別の視点で描かれていたりするから、シリーズを通して観るとより楽しめるはず。1作目はイタリアン・コメディー、2作目はアクション、3 作目は……観てからのお楽しみ！」
